Cloudcroft and Ruidoso planning teams continue to coordinate efforts and resources between the two communities to invite location
neutral workers in to assist in the facilitation of developing incentives for the creation of a location neutral worker program. Assessment
of the project is ongoing with a completion date of late summer 2010. Program facilitators will be continuing to present the initiative
to community governmental and civic groups for awareness and educational purposes. KRQE aired a segment on the program which
can be viewed below.
One of the features that will attract location neutral workers to our communities is having access to fiber optic facilities.
Tularosa Basin Telephone Company completed the transition from copper to fiber optic in Cloudcroft in the summer of 2009.
