Tularosa Basin Telephone Company, Inc.
 Established 1996....
Tularosa Basin Telephone Co. became an entity in August 1996. Based in Tularosa, New Mexico and serving exchanges in Cloudcroft, High Rolls, Tularosa, and Carrizozo. These exchanges had been owned by US West and were purchased by Dell Telephone, Ponderosa Telephone, Roosevelt County RTC, Wagner Telecommunications.

Tularosa Basin Telephone Company is located in south central New Mexico nestled within the Sacramento and San Andres Mountains fondly referred to as “The Basin”. Several historic and natural landmarks lend beauty and folklore to the region.
Since TBTC’s inception, it has undergone numerous changes in both location, facilities, and ownership. Once housed in a triple-wide temporary office structure, it is now housed in one of Tularosa's most colorful historical buildings. Many area residents have voiced pleasure in the renovation that saved a once popular meeting place for the community.

Advanced technologies have helped the small rural telephone company with the ability to offer the same services that are available to customers served by large metropolitan companies. Another landmark for Tularosa Basin Telephone Company is the establishment of its subsidiary, Tularosa Communication, Inc. which provides Internet Service to over 2,100 customers throughout the Tularosa Basin. In the foreseeable future, Tularosa Communications Inc. will further expand into other areas and offer competitive telecommunication services with the same very personal caring style that Tularosa Basin Telephone Co. has worked carefully to provide its customers.
